? I am easy going, laid back, willing to try anything once, smart, affable and terribly geeky. I can be rather quiet at first, but once you get to know me I am warm and funny with a twisted sense of humor and unique perspective on life. If you are looking for a driven, "alpha male" sort of guy, then I am not the one for you. If you want somebody who's fun to hang out with, a good listener and willing to be friends first, then read on.

I have a 24 year old daughter who is the jewel of my existence. We have a very close relationship, closer than your average father and daughter, I think. I am not interested in having any more children, but if you have kids of your own already, it's cool with me.

I'm not much of a sports fan, except for the Detroit Red Wings. Even then, I don't follow the hockey season regularly. Instead I love books, movies and listening to music. I am always reading at least one book at any given time, usually science fiction and fantasy, but I also like literary fiction, memoirs, history, etc. I grew up on Star Wars and Marvel comic books, and I still love that stuff. I have broad and eclectic taste in music, but I mainly listen to classic rock, alternative and heavy metal. Some of my favorite performers are Metallica, the White Stripes, the Flaming Lips, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Tom Waits, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. As for movies, I go for everything from the latest super hero blockbuster to art house movies you can only see at the Main Art or the Detroit Film Theater. I am an entertainment junkie who is always open to discovering something new.
